1958 - In an Edinburgh laboratory, frogs are used to conduct pregnancy tests. A young, unmarried cleaner takes a secret test, and an artist frog undergoes a strange metamorphosis. As both girl and frog face uncertain futures, their anxieties of potential motherhood become intertwined. Toad Test is a playful, tender story inspired by the real and strange science of early pregnancy testing.
